Two Versions of Kimono Style

Everybody is enjoying the transition weather, the time when you can layer or wear boots because it gets colder at night. Our temperatures are still going strong in the 90s and the 100s.

One trend that I can actually participate in is the kimono because I feel like they can change the look of an outfit. As I said in the previous post, lightweight layers are usually the way to go in South Texas. It doesn’t feel so scorching hot when you wear something like this over an outfit, as opposed to sleeveless trenches or vests.

I found this kimono at Forever 21. It was marked $8.99 with an additional 50% off all clearance / sale items that day. It was the only one on the rack, so I thought it was full price. I was so excited when I saw that not only was it on sale, it had an extra percentage off to add! $4.50 is not bad at all.

The first look is what I wore to work — close toed shoes & knee length skirt to ensure that I’m following the dress code during the week. The second look is the change of outfit that occurred once I got home. My husband and I took our daughter out for ice cream, so it was a good comfy ootd. I personally loved wearing the second one more, but it’s always good to have options / choices.
