VB x Target: Gingham

“I’m a very driven, ambitious, positive person. But I’m a spiritual person as well.” – Victoria Beckham.

When I first became a fan of the Spice Girls, I was more of a “Sporty Spice” kind of girl. It had to do with the fact that I could relate to her at the time. As I’ve said in a previous entry, I was closer in age to my brother than my sister, and anything he liked to do, I did too – running after lizards, playing basketball, etc.

But once the Spice Girls disbanded and they all went to do their own thing, I started following Posh Spice more. When she released her fashion book, I bought it once I was able to find it. I started following her for her style, and I was always in awe of the clean lines she had in her look, and how everything looks so tailored for her body. Even the look books that we’re oversized, it still looked like it was the perfect fit for her body with the look she was going for.

So when they posted the release date of the VB x Target collaboration, I set my alarm. I knew I had to be at Target before 8 that day. I didn’t even see the collection yet, nor did I know what color scheme it was going to be. None of that mattered to me because it was Victoria Beckham. I am just glad that I actually did like everything she released that day, and I was able to purchase not only for myself but for my daughter as well. I’m just going to warn you ahead of time.

There will be a lot of “mommy & me”, matchy-matchy looks coming soon!
